From Iran to India, Pakistan, Egypt, the USA and beyond, the fictional wedding videos ask a simple but entertaining question: What if Ronaldo and Georgina had got married here?
And the results are anything but ordinary.
The real wedding
Before entering the world of AI imagination, there is one important distinction to make: Ronaldo and Georgina's actual wedding took place in Portugal.
The couple met in Madrid in 2016, when Rodríguez was working at a Gucci store. Their relationship eventually became one of the most closely followed romances in global celebrity culture. In the Iranian version, that contrast becomes the joke.

That is where things become particularly interesting because AI-generated Ronaldo wedding images have already been circulating online with famous footballers supposedly attending the ceremony.
Fact-checkers have debunked some of those images, including pictures purporting to show Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane at Ronaldo's wedding. Those images were identified as AI-generated rather than genuine photographs from the event.
No doubt, the technology can make almost anything look plausible.
